For the Ground Beef Layer:
- 1 lb 450g ground beef
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 packet about 1 oz or 28g taco seasoning
- ½ cup 120ml water
- For the Cream Cheese Layer:
- 8 oz 225g cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup 240g sour cream
For the Toppings:
- 1 cup 115g shredded lettuce
- 1 cup 115g shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 Roma tomatoes diced
- ¼ cup 40g sliced black olives
- 2 green onions sliced
- Tortilla chips for serving
Cook the Ground Beef:
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Simmer until the mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.

Assemble the Dip:
Spread the ground beef mixture evenly in the bottom of a 9x13-inch (23x33 cm) baking dish or serving tray.
Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the ground beef layer.
Sprinkle the shredded lettuce evenly over the cream cheese layer.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the lettuce.
Top with the diced tomatoes, sliced black olives, and sliced green onions.
